With a crooked smile

I shift about 20k a year typically in 4 transactions from the sale of RSUs to my HSBC account in the UK. I pay a wire transfer fee of 25 Usd but seem to lose a lot on the conversion to sterling by HSBC. Has anyone found a simple way around this like using an intermediate such as transfer wise or what ever that's called now?

Wow, my first broker!  Those were the days!  I loved it.  I've used such a transferwise type company before which messed up once and was eventually OK the second time.  Maybe you could open an IB account and transfer the stock or USD to them and then do the deal at their better rates.  They do just about every stock transfer type there is out there and being US, speak the lingo as it were.
