Charles Dowding has launched a new allotment site

In one of the Fb comments someone asks about the flood risk. The farmer says it never floods.

The height of the bridge, what looks like small archways to let floodwater pass through on the left and the two stone holes in the bridge would suggest otherwise.

It's called a flood plain for a reason....

There’s absolutely loads of allotments in Bath already. Always thought they were a bit a bloody eyesore TBH.

Edit: I can’t recall ever seeing it flood there. There can be issues with the Avon with the authorities opening or not opening various sluice gates in a timely manner.
