Onions

I am a non-gardener. I left these Tesco organic onions when I went on holiday for 2 weeks and when I came back they were sprouting. I thought hey I know, I'll plant them. Scrounged a pot from landlord's garden and some soil from a 2.99 Lidl Growbag.

Have I done everything right?

reformed nice guy

Yes, you can leave them for a while then split them. It already looks like you will make your 4 onions will become at least 6 at this moment

Mine have been a bit rubbish this year. Gone to seed and not very big. Ah well. Garlic all rusty so I've pulled that up too. I have somewhere to put the crown prince squash now though

I've just pulled the winter onions and put them to dry.  Not done too well this year - lots of very small ones.

When we first planted them, despite a wire mesh top over the bed, something kept pulling them up and we kept having to replant.  Pigeons and squirrels are the suspects.

Just wondering whether to lift the shallots too.  That would leave a full raised bed empty to play with.
