The April data shows:

  • on average, house prices have risen 1.1% since March 2022

  • there has been an annual price rise of 12.4% which makes the average property in the UK valued at £281,161


This is one of the reasons why people think the UK is a rich country.

That's a shockingly low number of repossessions. I thought it would be much higher. You'd think a lot more people would fuck up economically. I can only assume the market is so buoyant that people can sell up voluntarily to avoid repossession.
