@belfastchild someone quitting airbnb? see the wee framed ceritificate on the living room wall?

yeah the welcome to belfast, the wrapped selection of breads in the kitchen, toiletries, towels on the bed etc
If you go onto google maps theres a for sale sign outside it from March 2023.
Extension built 2009 and looks like nothing else done to the front since then.

Probably a couple who moved in together and decided to to airbnb with their 'spare' house - not like someone would buy a 3 bed semi on the castlereigh road to start a fucking airbnb empire.

I like that. It needs an awful lot of work but it could be stunning.  Overpriced?

It would be lovely if it was in a rural location, have a look at street view to see its modern surroundings.

Ah, yes I have seen some amazing houses in Redruth and Camborne dating from the days of vast mining wealth but now surrounded by urban decay. If you could transplant them and their gardens to somewhere nice you would treble the price.

It's not the same to walk out of your beautiful house only to have to then negotiate the beggars and drunks.

I love the time warp here. I don’t know how you would fix the stairs so that it didn’t funnel heat away

What uis that style of house?

Bungalow  with a stone chimney.

I see loads that were built in 70s/70s but struggle to describe them.

Have a hatch on the the top of the stairs.

I would describe the roofline as having a bit of an alpine theme.

The whole of the inside needs a remodel. Get the stairs out of the sitting room for a start. Whoever thought that up wasn’t on a carbon neutral trip.

Some wrap around curtains would do the trick.

I love that.  I wonder what the garden size was originally.

Do you think it’s lost some garden?

yes, 100%.  A house that size of that age would have had, almost certainly, a herb and fruit garden attached.

If you look on the satellite, a bunch of newbuilds off to the north east.  Maybe that.

Im sure it’s on the original plot.  Fields to the back and road to the front. Are you thinking Australian size plot?
