Canada to take in 1 million migrants by 2020

Recommended Posts

Canada will take in 310,000 immigrants next year as part of the government’s new plan to raise immigrant intake by about 13 percent over the next three years and admit nearly one million newcomers by 2020.

“Everyone has been of the opinion we need more workers, we need more skilled workers, we need more people to power our economy, address our real skills shortages, address our real labor market shortages and also address the regional nature of some of these requirements,” Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said on Wednesday. “So we’ve listened.”

They've only just realised that stuff :o and how long has Canada been in existence.

I don't believe those are the reasons.

Canada to erect a massive statue of Trudeau called the Statue of Liberal

On the side will be written;

"Give me your bog-eyed, your interbred, your pube-faced jihadists, yearning to rape free"

More skilled workers is a funny one considering its a line peddled by big businesses where theres already probably 200 applicants for every job that, despite what they say on the job advert, only requires you to blindly follow processes installed by HR and middle managers for 95% of the day.

Yes when they're wanting workers there's a shortage.  When they're negotiating wages there's too many to count.

Some would say they're unmitigated liars.

Bugger! :PissedOff:

I had hoped that my daughter would have somewhere to escape to from Europe so she doesn't have to wear a burqua/hijab when she's adult. But by that time we may be at war.

Hopefully Trump can sort out the US in time.

Have you been to Toronto? It looks like Tower Hamlets but with slightly more drug abuse.

No, never been. Uncle used to send us letters when I was a kid saying it was -30C, have to say that acted as quite a deterrent. He painted a pretty rosy picture otherwise, but that was the 70s/80s, and England was very different then as well.

Not sure he's clever or competent enough, unfortunately. With the enormously high level of opposition he faces, there are a number of characteristics he needs but doesn't seem to have, so far they have stalled/distracted him pretty successfully.

Apart from T2.0’s virtual signaling acceptance of some select Syrians, and escapees from the USA war zone jumping the virtual border fence, and rich Chinese buying residency and laundering money in real estate, most people have to go through a very rigorous residency selection process that follows a points system similar to Australia. This costs lots of money, requires police clearance confirmation from all countries you’ve lived in, a medical and an English (or French) language proficiency test.

You also need a confirmed job plus a statement from your employer that they advertised, but could not find a Canadian with the same qualifications & experience.

Consequently Canada gets the cream, leaving the axle hugging hillbillies for other countries to deal with.

Canadia is horrible, and I never went there.

Obviously you never went to Canada.

Fucking a moose takes a bit more skill and upper-body strength than banging a sheep...!

In the history of peacetime democracy, has any people said "we need more people in the country to compete for our jobs"?

True but it's fairly easy to make an economic argument for skilled immigration, for low or no-skill, there is no argument whatsoever now other than a moral argument for genuine refugees. We don't need navvies to build railways anymore.

You want to come to the party, you bring a bottle or two.
