Are you Northern?

This might cross threads - lots of education, noone actually knowing anything.

My rough arsetimate is a line wash to bristol for south/midland split.

The south yorkshire for where the North starts.

Lincolnshire is split between the fen lands south bit and the Humbery north bits.

NE starts North of the Tees. Ends at Berwick.

All things NW are a loss to me.

I live on the South Coast and believe that dragons devour anyone foolish enough to venture north of the Downs

WHEN I am living in the Midlands

  That are sodden and unkind,

I light my lamp in the evening:

  My work is left behind;

And the great hills of the South Country         5

  Come back into my mind.

The great hills of the South Country

  They stand along the sea;

And it's there walking in the high woods

  That I could wish to be,  10

And the men that were boys when I was a boy

  Walking along with me.

I'm originally from the Midlands. But have been up north longer than I lived there. So am I northern yet?

No....you don't drone on endlessly about God's Own Country!

Hatfield & The North.

On the sign so good enough for me - everywhere north of Hatfield, including Hatfield is the north.

Unless I'm A Blockhead.

Beat me to it - in reality the official position is it's anywhere north of the north M25.
