Outrageous claims by copper

'He said "thousands" of thumbnail images of legal pornography were on it. '

Either Damien Green as very good eyesight of those thumbnails were more likely downloaded automatically by a piece of spyware.

'Mr Lewis, who retired from the Metropolitan Police in 2014, said although "you can't put fingers on a keyboard", a number of factors meant that he was sure it was Mr Green, the MP for Ashord, Kent, who was accessing the pornographic material.

His analysis of the way the computer had been used left the former detective constable in "no doubt whatsoever" that it was Mr Green, who was then an opposition immigration spokesman but is now the first secretary of state.

"The computer was in Mr Green's office, on his desk, logged in, his account, his name," said Mr Lewis, who at the time was working as a computer forensics examiner for SO15, the counter-terrorism command.'

Hes either very very thick, or very very prone to fabrication. Or both.

If you are going to look at a hard disk then you remove it from the computer and put it in another computer and take an image of it.

Any other way risks modifying the hard disk file system.

This is from 10 years ago, when Windows XP and IE would have been used. These system always ended up being locked up with spyware, loading porn websites. I used to spend a lot of time 10 years ago where spyware was permanently redirecting browsers to porn websites.

Did he check for any spyware? Nope. Moron.

As far as logging on etc etc etc. MPs would have had an assitant logging on and doing that sort of stuff - people of their age and supposed position would have thought using a computer would have been below them FFS.

Dmaien Green needs to get this moron into court and an interrogated by someone who knows the procedure and knows what they are doing.

Again, why the fuck would you spent your time browsing thumbnale FFS?

If it 'went on for several hours' then it was likely to be a program downloading them.

From radio 'In between readiing emails and writing documents, he was downloading pornography ....'

XP is a multitaking OS FFS.

On one hand, you talk the talk of being very worldly but on the other seem astonishingly naive.

One, legal evidence is a matter of process. You do not turn on a computer to look at whats on its harddisk FFS.

Now he's claiming the only noteboke he kept has this case on. All the other have been destroyed. Its nuts.

It's a smear campaign and part of a long running attempt to oust/discredit Green - years ago they groundlessly raided his Westminster office.

You can't use the police and the courts to fight your opponents when your opponents control the police and the courts. Neither operate as lone beacons of independent truth and justice, overseen by god or something, just because the state puts these things in separate buildings, with a separate name on, doesn't mean they aren't all the state.

Sure, its a smear campaign. Thats obvious.

But theyve got a moron copper to go on record and spout crap that will probably see him in court and losing his pension/being sued for a lot of money.

Smear campaigns only work when they are anonymous and the source hidden. Getting a moron copper to go on radio and incriminate himself does not work as there is a person to sue.

Been more than 5 years since I've touched a windows machine but I would assume the file system or image viewing programs would produce a cached thumbnail image for each full size image to save processing time. When the full sized images were deleted it's possible the thumbnail files were left untouched.

Still, I couldn't give a shit what he was viewing.

Look how they paint him in the video, greyed out, black background with some ominous background beat music:

Relying on some fucking ex-cops CLAIMS and a notebook he stole from the force...because police never write LIES in their notebooks do they?

FUCK OFF the So-Called BBC YOU SCUM BAG ORGANISATION.

Also file under the continued 'male sexuality is dirty/bad' idea that is in being pushed virtually every day by the media.

The issue here isn't that an MP wasted time and therefore public money - if you wanted to investigate that, you'd have far bigger fish to fry than someone occasionally rubbing one out in the office.

No, the idea is 'dirty old man looks at porn'. I mean why on earth would a man of that age enjoy looking at attractive naked women, that's just sick and twisted isn't it?

Well actually no, it isn't. It's natural. There's a reason why porn is so popular. Not to mention it's legal. And if he did look at some pictures but was still able to do his job fine, then I don't give a shit and neither should anyone else.

If the police found a copy of "50 Shades of Grey" in a female MP's office, we'd be equally outraged......right?

The irony is it's probably the copper's computer where the real dodgy stuff lies. He won't be successfully sued as if they can get a copper to do what they want they can get a judge to do what they want too.

At least we will soon know if GCHQ is as useless as an arsehole on an elbow, or not. They should have ample evidence if it's true.

No wonder masturbation is claimed to ruin your eyesight.

The subtext is pretty soon men wanking  will be illegal.

Incidentally Green was not a Cabinet minister at the time this supposed to have occurred just an opposition back bencher so one would think this is really a matter for his constituents to decide.

BTW what would the cops have done if they had found copies of Razzle etc in his office. There must have been a fair share of MPs who occasionally perused similar mags in the old pre internet days.
