The gift that never stops giving

If it's for royalties - I've never heard that song before and there are quite a few other tracks with an extremely similar funky disco backbeat that you could sample or use without the rather silly vocal. Indeed I'd have thought that a Casio keyboard from 20 years ago probably has something like that as one of the standard programs..?

I’ve no idea what the royalties for this song are but it was a massive worldwide disco hit and has been covered a lot, played a lot since, used in adverts and films so I suspect it’s a tidy sum.

Probably enough for PH to never have to worry about money due to his residual income.

In the music industry the easiest way to earn is by writing songs that are played for years after they were written.

YouTube needs a "never, ever play me that again" button.

It keeps on playing into this one after anything vaguely 80s-Med/Europe based.

Since I didn't get to it to kill it early enough it seems to believe that I like it and want to listen to it again and again.

The right hand side of Youtube is a pageant, a smorgasbord, a deli counter, of the good and the dreadful. Sometimes it throws up a belter.

I have not heard this tune in years, its taken on that "so bad it's good" mantle with aplomb.
