Tune in to

https://twitter.com/UkPropertyLion

It's now automatically posting ALL rightmove price drops on twitter, should start to see a flood of drops at some point this week as the database will be populated and the drop detection can begin in earnest.

If anyone wants to try it/test it then PM me and I'll make the tool available to them.

It's a linux only app at present.

It'd be more effective to show drops over 10% IMO.

Isn't this lovely though?

I've changed it to 5%.

I think twitter removed my automatic authetication because of too many posts.

I've not updated my local database for a week but I've seen 30% of listings are drops in some areas but london is 2% !!!!

WTF !!!!

Either they are holding onto their prices...or people are rushing to sell.

We'll soon find out which.

Thanks @TheCountOfNowhere  I don't use Chrome normally but I'll give it a try.  Let's hope they bring out a Firefox version.

This tool lets you leave comments about properties !!!

Came to try bee today - it appears to now be dead on the older version.

Tried rightmove - property tracker also dead.

Does that mean we have no way now of tracking drops? Looks like thats what they wanted all along?

EDIT : tried property log seemed to work :)

The database is a little sparse but I've going to furnish them with the property lion database so should have some usable info soon.

Anyone managed to find an alternative to Property Bee for Firefox? Even the property-bee.com website is unusable now. I bet beerhunter (original creator) is really pissed off.

Property Log extension for Chrome seems to be the best available.

developed by GettingBored from ToS.

I have not used Firefox since, I only really used it for property searching with the bee.

Issue is in rightmove, zoopla and onthemarkets terms of service they say you can't use any automation, scrapers or web crawlers on their site & therefore can't create any extensions like property bee - otherwise it would be against their TOS.

Just wondering if anyone has found anything else as I appreciate this thread is quite old.  I'm building an extension which will be 100% free myself but I want to make sure it's compliant with all the marketplaces and gives investors what they need.

- average yield

- market growth local area

- sales velocity local area

Anything else?
