I've been to Masonic dos (I'm not a Mason) and the only women there are wives / partners.

IMO this destruction of all male clubs is hypothetical; women just don't join them in their own right.

You just get to read about the attention whores who pretend that they want to join the Garrick when they really don't.

I'm far too scummy to be a Mason.

In fact, I'm not even sure that The Buffs would accept me...

Upto some time in the 60's or possibly 70's, it was relatively uncommon for married women to work. House prices were based on 3 x a persons (almost always the mans) salary. This meant that a marr

From the article ..

'Hannah Bryan came at a later stage and tried to pull them off, but was also seen trying to kick the male.'

Well, I suppose that may distract them.

But men's toilets, showers, changing facilities don't have women trying to muscle into them

That's not my experience, even years ago. Plenty of times I've seen women in male changing rooms on some flimsy pretext. Same with toilets, because reasons.

A 14-year-old transgender boy is starting legal proceedings against NHS England over delays to gender reassignment treatment.

The teenager has waited over a year for referral to the only NHS gender clinic for children and adolescents.

The Good Law Project, which is acting for the teenager, says the NHS has a legal obligation to provide specialist care to all patients within 18 weeks, or provide an alternative.

NHS England says a review is under way.

It announced the independent review into gender identity services for young people in September. An NHS England spokesperson said this would include "how and when children and young people were referred to specialist services".

The Good Law prohect is that annoying I know everything, you plebs, lawyer cunt Jocyon daft nam twat.

Who raises money for his cases from daft fuckers.

I'm sorry he isn't happy but there's a pandemic on.

He should be getting on with playing with conkers.

I don't think this is sensible for people of that age.

If they're suffering then society should help (to a point).

The problem comes with offering hormones and surgery far too early (if at all at that age) -- this individual should be offered some psychotherapy -- it might even be possible to do it over weblink (not that it's an optimal solution).

I've worked with a few women who used to be blokes. No problem with that, if that's what you really want, but I don't think the decision should be encouraged for people not even old enough to drive.

I don't think it makes them happier.

Genuine intersex aside it stems from being deeply unhappy as they are and seeing a sex change as a new start that will fix everything.

When the reality generally is that it makes things worse.  Whilst in law they may change sex in reality they aren't becoming men or women they are becoming trans men or women which is obvious to everyone who encounters them.

When you are not accepted as a man by men, or as a woman by women, then surely that is going to simply make you even more unhappy than you were in the first place as the only social situation in which you're going to fit in without getting some uncomfortable reactions is amongst other transsexuals.

Whilst counselling would be a far better option than surgery from what I read treatment for mental health in this country ranges from poor to non-existent so that option does not appear to exist.

Hormones and surgery are instead a simple if fairly sledgehammer option that ticks a box and sends them away happy for a short while until they realise that whilst yes they have changed sex it is actually to being a transsexual rather than to a man or a woman.
