Any ideas?

I used to view the tweet, then in the top right hand corner 'Copy link to tweet' and paste it.

Trying that now:

Hmmm. Not any more. It comes up 'Paste as plain text instead?" and doesn't render anything at all, the pasted content is hidden.

On submit, the link appears, so it is there, but not the tweet.

How do you get it to work?

Hmmm. That didn't work either.

Think I've cracked it.

Ignore the "click the down arrow and copy link" and just copy the URL from the address bar.

Aha - or, as you say, accept the invitation to "paste as plain text"
