Monkeys. Bastards destroy everything.

Strange bit is why Hartlepool was affected as it's the other side of the Tees. Places closer to Saltburn weren't without power.

Unless it's connected to those windfarms in the mouth of the Tees...?

They are about the same distance from Hartlepool and Redcar...

just like the 70’s safety ads warned us would happen

Those put a generation off electricity.

Probably why it's so hard to find a decent electrician these days.

That picture is disturbing.

Clearly, the Russians have perfected stealth technology for their Kalinin K-7 bomber and are approaching UK airspace (for technical reasons the stealth technology does not work on the propellers)

That'll be an EU powered robbing of power cables.
They come over in teams to steal cable.

That is actually plausible sarah. Refreshingly so considering some of the shite the amateur Poirots and Miss Marples of DOSBODs spout regularly on our beloved forum...!

It was only a couple of years ago that 3500 phone-lines were cut off in the Headland area of Hartlepool (the Headland was the original Hartlepool, as opposed to neighbouring West Hartlepool before the amalgamation of the two in 1967) by thieves breaking into two of them green BT boxes a good distance apart, cutting all the wires at one end, and winding them through quickly onto some sort of bobbin spinning on the end of an electric motor. That this was a long cable run feeding the coastal peninsular that was the original Hartlepool from what was formerly West Hartlepool showed they figured out the best two boxes to break into for the maximum yield from their caper.

The ironic thing is that this level of ingenuity, technical knowledge and bare-faced cheek suggest some of them might actually be bright enough to be the doctors and engineers we are always promised - but never seem to actually get...!

Elec co. still saying it was the underground cable, that black oblong block looks like one of the those sealed connectors if so could be the connection failed, water got in and shorted it out.

https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/live-hundreds-still-without-power-14372517

What caused the power outage?

Northern Powergrid say an underground cable fault triggered the faults which wiped out the electricity supply for huge swathes of Teesside.

      As per title.

I'm certainly not claiming that they all were faked but it was a ludicrously expensive programme which had already won the propaganda war and in which the public had lost interest.
So why not trim the budget a little by faking one when nobody's paying much attention?
There are two strands to this; today's visor reflection of a man "On the moon" without a spacesuit:

And the accidental showing of the man made structure that saw the live feed cut.  It's far more simple to explain this man made structure as being on earth than on the moon.

You don't need many to be in on it: fake the feed, fake the instrument readings.
