stubborn parent on the school run refused to move their Mercedes at pick-up time - even though they had parked it in front of a fire station.
Firefighters asked the parent to move their car from outside Cricklade Fire Station in Wiltshire.
But the driver refused to budge, claiming they were not an obstruction.
The fracas occurred on Friday afternoon outside St Sampson's Church of England Primary School, which the parent's child is thought to attend.
The white Mercedes A180 was parked on the yellow hatched road markings outside the fire station.
Royal Wootton Bassett Police said they plan to visit the school to carry out enforcement work and have also called on the school to take action.
A spokesman for Cricklade Fire Station said it was a recurring problem as they took to Twitter in a bid to prevent other parents doing the same.
The sense of entitlement in some people is breathtaking.
