Richard Bacon, 42, diagnosed with ADHD

Recommended Posts

What a load of absolute tosh.  Here's the counter to the spoon phobic boy scout, it's the knobhead celeb justifying being a twat because "It's a medical condition innit."

Richard Bacon diagnosed with ADHD at 42 after behaviour spun out of control

The former Blue Peter host, axed by the So-Called BBC in 1998 when it was revealed he had taken cocaine, saw a specialist this year

After a brain scan he found he had two types of ADHD and was put on medication.

Dad-of-two Richard, who is now in LA working for Fox TV, says his condition is improving.

He said: “I’d lose credit cards twice a week and my wallet, keys, passport and phone.

“It sounds trivial, but the consequences add up to something quite serious for your family.

“On top of that, I was going out too late and drinking too much.

“I was opening a bottle of wine and getting through it in front of the telly at night.

“It was causing pain and chaos and I was tired all the time.”

Richard added: “It’s a relief to be diagnosed.

American agent realises the cocaine and hookers binge is a shadow over Bacon’s career, he has to “morally redeem” the image for Fox viewers.

Interesting there are now two types, requiring two different medications and an individual can have both. When are they going to crank out a single medication for Narcissistic Personality Disordered women people?

I've no idea about his specific case because for all I know he might genuinely have an affliction, although ADHD has been known about for long enough that you'd think it would have been picked up earlier. But there does seem to be a generalised shift to the extent that a lot of people would rather be told they have some sort of condition or illness than accept responsibility for themselves and their actions.

Ironically, in doing so, I think they deny themselves the opportunity to find happiness and meaning in life, because for as long as you're blaming something or someone else, then you're surrendering your own ability to do anything about it.

So not getting your shit together is now ADHD?

A close family member is very similar to this, he would probably be diagnosed with ADHD. Before the medicalisation of stupidity he'd have been described as drug-fucked, which is how I contine to refer to him because he fucked his brain with drugs.

Yes, but you have to understand the underlying condition, if it wasn't for ADHD he wouldn't now be drug-fucked

We have to blame something rather than take responsibility

Well quite.

He's a middle aged man now, permenantly on the dole and blaming everyone else for his cock-ups.

He takes zero accountability for his actions. If he did, he'd be making headway back to reality. Until that point he can fuck off.

He'd love an ADHD diagnosis, "See! See! I told you so!"

If only being a feckless, selfish cock was an accepted medical condition. We'd see a lot less people grabbing on to a medical reason to excuse their idiocy then.

Who exactly?

Halfwit who got thrown off Blue Peter, has made a career out of being available and cheap so does R2 shows as stand-in when the real presenter is on holiday.

Also outspoken SJW who was very active on Twitter but swore he would come off it if Donald Trump was elected (typical of him to say that, like anybody cares) so I am very surprised that Fox News is giving him employment.

For all the faux medical excuses and justification for fucking up his life there remains the reality:

He has fucked up his life. And you only get one.

All some label does is make him feel that it wasn't his fault; the result doesn't change.

Whilst there are many examples of people who could have let their lives go equally to ruin for genuine rather than imagined reasons a good example recently died: Stephen Hawking.

There is a man who had every excuse to spend his life smoking dope and playing computer games but didn't.  So don't come to me whining about your pathetic ADHD matey.

I didn't actually see him presenting it but saw the coke thing and had to put up with his being a pale shadow of Johnny Vaughan on The Big Breakfast.

I've just weakened and checked if he had closed his Twitter account following God Emperor Trump's election victory or whether, like all those rich American actors who were going to leave the US, he had quietly forgotten about it.

Needless to say it is the latter and he is still moaning about God Emperor Trump.

It's odd. Generally in life once you have been sacked from a place there is no going back. Yet the So-Called BBC have Chris Evans and Richard Bacon in their employ. How long before Jonathan Ross returns "due to public demand"?

This will make you lose keys and forget things.

They had a vacancy for the role of “witless foil to represent Democrats” on their debate panels.

:D

True! Whilst he did not have the enormous effect of Izzard and Geldof upon the Brexit vote, mainly because a lot of people have never heard of him, you only have to listen to him talking for a few minutes to make you want to vote for the exact opposite of whatever he is supporting.
