The XYY Man

If not Jesus, then who would you resurrect tommorow ...?

Recommended Posts

Dunno why the question popped into my head - probably because I had a burger on Good Friday - but if you don't fancy Jesus coming back from the dead tomorrow, then who would you want to be resurrected instead...?

I have racked my brain all day with regards to this concept - and have finally decided that if I were ever to get a say in such matters, it would probably be Elvis returning to the building...!

Over to you DOSBODders...

Dennis Potter.....One of the best screen writers imho.

In a way, resurrection was what his script 'Cold Lazarus' was about. Albert Finney was brilliant.

You’ve also got the day wrong. Isn’t it Easter Monday when He rose again?

No, Monday's when he unwrapped his chocolate egg.

Good Friday was the crucifixtion. Easter Sunday is the ressurrection, supposedly 3 days later but 3 days later should be the Monday. But although zero was first in use about the third century BC it wasn't really in common use around the time of Christ, nor for some time afterwards, hence the third day being the Sunday.

Jean Simmons sprung to mind... mainly because I have always fancied her...

Partly because she was in 'The Robe' which was on the telly yesterday and apparently resulted in her hubby Stewart Granger threatening Richard Burton with a gun for shagging her during the making of the film. Burton was 27 in that film but looked as if he was in his 40's.

I would only want Jean Simmons back on the basis that she would have numerous unrestricted sexual dalliances with me. If she won't put out she can stay dead.
