TV debates pointless

Not really, it's not like what they say will make the slightest bit of difference in the longer run.

Besides, they won't be asked the questions that actually matter to people and the responses, if they were, would be a load of scripted guff.

If they were an unknown quantity then it can become interesting.  The big one with Plaid Cymru, Nige for UKIP and Sturgeon (plus some others I forget) was reasonable.

One with May, Corbyn and Farron (had to think on that last name) would be dull and scripted and, as Sarah points out, much less interesting than the weekly PMQs.
