Proper Fantasy Garage

For anyone else who, like me, clicked @Inoperational Bumblebee's thread thinking it meant your stable of dream cars if you won the lottery then this is the thread for you.

Money no object, these will be maintained to perfection and be like new to drive.  Plus don't worry about practical things like parking it in Safeway or in laybys or multi-storey car parks.  You can use a Fiesta for that.  I have picked three.  You can have as few or as many as you choose.

You keep the clean one in the garage and the muddy ones in the bedroom? Doesn’t seem terribly pragmatic.

Mine aren't going to be as exotic, but here are my three:

Lotus Exige

Kawasaki Mule

Aerial Atom

Might as well chuck some bikes in too:

Yamaha FZ6

Suzuki DR-Z400 SM

Probably my current bike, a Versys 650.

Yeah, nothing massively exciting but I'm not very imaginative, and these are actually what I genuinely would like to own. Part of the enjoyment is knowing i can treat them like shit. It's like the difference between a £2 cigar, a £20 cigar and a £200 cigar. Diminishing returns and all. Not sure I'd enjoy wildly expensive stuff as I'd feel it was pointless.

xD I have to say I didn't expect to see a Talbot Sunbeam come up on this thread.

It`s not your average sunbeam it has the heart of a lotus and a fabulous french gearbox o.O and it was the original hot hatch

I tried to by one local to me years ago but the guy would not sell it (i`m going to restore it) it rotted away in the front garden to the point it was irreparable ....fecking twat

I had a TI though

Coincidentally, I have a 'Retro Cars' calendar hanging up and April's is a black Lotus Sunbeam with a silver coachstripe.  B|

 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo II

Some decent sized campervan (a VW one would be nice, but too wee), maybe a Unimog one like this :

(at least partly inspired by Spunko's pick, I've always liked Unimogs though)

and an

Audi RS6 Avant 5.0l V10

I'm not having to pay for the fuel, insurance, repair, tax or storage of these am I?

If so, then I'll just go for one of these :

Mazda 5 2.0 D Sport

Can I pick my three cars again?

If so, I'll have any three of the ones on here :

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/88249/most-expensive-cars-ever-sold-at-auction

Sell just one of them, even  below market value and be a multimillionaire.

Yeah, definatly, I'll have a Ferrari or two and that mad looking Merc from the 50's.

100882927-Untitled-1rr.530x298.jpg?v=137

I could buy really nice examples of all four vehicles I had in my original post above for £250-300k. So, sell the two rare Ferrari's and buy my dream garage, and have a cool af Merc too! Oh, and millions and millions of pounds.

My car has broken down, was wondering if any of you lot have any ideas what the problem might be....
It did not start immediately this morning as it normally does, but did start and drive ok. I went out again a wee while ago and it again took a wee minute to start but then drove ok, maybe with a few “flat spots” with reduced power for a second or so.
I then started it again (took a few turns of the starter motor again) after being at the shops, when I stopped at some lights and was idling it cut out, started it again and drove home, half way there it was cutting out but would restart again (again taking a few turns of the starter before it started) then, after maybe 50ft it did it again, tried starting it again but it wouldn’t “catch”, kept trying but it wouldn’t start, then the lights on the dash went dimmer and it wouldn’t even turn over at all.
Gonna have to take it to the garage, will be heavy steering while I’m getting towed but there’s no way I’m paying for a tow truck, can’t afford it anyway.
      Fuck.
      It’s a 2.0 diesel Mazda btw.

I'm not sure I understood half of it, but is seems we are going Japanese by being pernickety.
