Another cheat

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5831625/Hospice-boss-used-charitys-credit-card-splash-90-000-suits-jailed.html

hospice boss who used the charity's credit to spend more than £90,000 on suits, designer Mont Blanc pens and luxury hotels has been jailed for four years.

Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, 63, of Rokeby, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, refused to let other staff at Butterwick Hospice open credit card bills when dealing with travel expenditure, Teesside Crown Court heard.

His dishonesty has cost the popular North East-based charity £100,000 in lost donations after news of his arrest led to public anger about the fraud and hostility towards fundraisers.

I've seen no sign of a proceeds of crime case and I would have expected one to have been instigated.....

Bedrag Justesen

A hospital charity shop is being investigated for failing to hand over any of its profits to cancer patients in seven years.

Frank Wingett Cancer Relief ran a shop at Wrexham Maelor hospital until its closure in March but it had not made a charitable donation since 2011.

Instead, it invested £410,000 in a project to create a huge Welsh dragon sculpture near the A5 at Chirk.

The Charity Commission said it was investigating.

No that one doesn't exist.

The ones in the pic are real, they are in Caernarfon castle, along with 3D holographic dragons.

Real you say?  I didn’t think dragons actually existed. I’m packing my bag as we speak, off to slay dragons in the welsh hills. xD

They generally do the investigation for a confiscation order under POCA behind the scenes. It takes a long time for the plod to gather together the evidence of available assets, sometimes the offender has served their sentence and is out of jail before they get hit with the confiscation order.

True but around here the fact it wasn't mentioned has played well with those who used to give money to that Hospice...
