Planned meticulously for 2 years, the pilot depressurised the cabin to render the passengers & crew unconscious......

The seabed search was led by Martin Dolan, who told a special edition of the 60 Minutes Australiaprogramme: “This was planned, this was deliberate, and it was done over an extended period of time.”

Captain Zaharie, aged 53, was accompanied on the flight deck by an inexperienced first officer, Fariq Abdul Hamid – who was on his first Boeing 777 mission without a training captain overseeing him.

Mr Dolan dismissed the possibility that terrorism was involved. “If this had been a terrorist event, it’s almost invariable that a terrorist organisation will claim credit for the event.

“There was no such claim made.”

The panel disagreed about whether Captain Zaharie was in control of the aircraft at the time it hit the ocean.

Mr Vance said he believed the pilot “ditched it deliberately to keep it as intact as possible,” while Mr Dolan said the evidence was that “the aircraft spiralled into the ocean and crashed”.

Still think he tried to crash into Diego Garcia and RAAF Hornets, which were on CAP at that time, shot it down.

Captain Simon Harvey, a British pilot who has flown the 777 widely in Asia, said the mission was “planned meticulously to make the aircraft disappear”, including flying along the Thai-Malaysian frontier to avoid either side taking action.

En route to Diego Garcia?

Clearly that's ridiculous.

If there was even a hint of that BBC and SKY would be all over it.

Without better evidence I don't think terrorism can be completely ruled out.

Admittedly the British press article below was made after the plane crash happened  (the crash was  8 March 2014)  but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a general theme in other more radicalised parts of the world.  Apart from anything else it's only a theory that the Captain caused it intentionally.

The actual reason still has to be determined - maybe it never will be but in these sort of circumstances the authorities will try to shift blame to anywhere but themselves and their equipment and I guess there's some of that going on now.

Chilling ISIS video calls for 'all out war' on West with attacks in 'homes, markets and roads' during Ramadan

The message, released as the Muslim holy month begins, comes four days after 22 people were killed in the Manchester Arena suicide bombing

Strange turn of phrase, as there is absolutely no evidence either way.
