Dirt never harmed anyone

Our modern germ-free life is the cause of the most common type of cancer in children, according to one of Britain's most eminent scientists.

Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia affects one in 2,000 children.

Prof Mel Greaves, from the Institute of Cancer Research, has amassed 30 years of evidence to show the immune system can become cancerous if it does not "see" enough bugs early in life.

There's a great business opportunity here.  I think I'll bag up dirt from the yard / garden into little plastic bags, a couple of grams each.  Guaranteed to be packed with marginally challenging bacteria!  Only £4.99 for two germ types (one yard, one garden.   Sorry, one from type 1 suburban germ challenge, one type 2 rural germ challenge), six doses per type.  Simply sprinkle onto food before meal time!

Can I join?

I've never been into housework. If nobody gets food poisoning and there are no rodents, it's clean enough. Being a slob is a superb vetting filter. See a look of disgust when they first see my place? Next. See them roll their eyes with a 'That's boys for you' expression? Slither Hither...

I was also ahead of the curve when idiots kept saying that margarine was healthier than butter.
