Banning... A grave mistake.

Recommended Posts

I agree he was getting a bit tedious, but I'm sure he would have calmed down in a little while.

I wouldn't have banned him, or moderated him, just let him let off steam and if he didn't tone down after a while warn him that others were getting pissed off with his tedious and boring rancour.

You have to make decisions as the only moderator / admin to protect the rest of the forum. If disruptive trolls are permitted then  this forum will die. And he had already been warned, again a first. I'll reply fully in the morning.

That's fine. If being a dick (sometimes) gets you banned then...

If he had been warned and continued to be a cunt then fairs fair - banned it is. It's not a right to join her and post, it's a priviledge and with that come certain responsibilities such as observing the T+Cs, and before anyone screams 'censorship' or 'free speech' well fuck you. They are not unmitigated and come with certain restrictions. if you don't like that then fuck off. There's a whole world out there and thousands of forums.

Well if he ignored the warning then I agree with what you've done.

The funny thing is he actually did a Tommy.

Was warned, but then went out of his way to troll every thread in contravention of his warning.

Sort of ironic really.

Well observed! :Jumping:

If we lose everybody who disagrees with us, then really what's the point?

It would be great to have a sin bin over on the right and people could up-vote you out of it. 10 days or 10 up-votes.

This.

Didn't we migrate away from DOSBODS because of bannings?  There are a number of posters on here who can occasionally wrote like cunts - me included - and I think that the site is richer for it.  Maybe a 30 day ban?

Make it a 13 month ban.

I suspect that he created the sock puppet @eek and further suspect this may have led to this being against the principles of the forum.

Spunko is welcome to correct me on this.

Regardless, Goat was causing forum disruption this morning and, if he wasn’t uncontrollably drunk, then shows some serious character flaws.

Unless I missed something I didn’t really see any deliberate fishing to wind people up..  I saw he seemed to take an unpopular stance on the Tommy thread,  and some of the bits got a bit heated/confrontational.  But you need someone to challenge the consensus..  otherwise you just get an echo chamber.

So it’s a bit disappointing but I respect Spunko’s decision. It’s his ship,  his rules.

Nah, I've not been on much recently but have seen him trying to take the piss, posting nippy shit on purpose. He had some decent points, but went a bit over the top recently and just posting arsey posts.

I've nothing against Goat, just his behaviour more recently.

Good shout Spunko!

Saying he's been banned for having an opposite view is incorrect; people are welcome to hold an opposite view but not to be rude about it.

Oh no they're not.

I can't tell you much about the incident, there is a news blackout, the French police have blocked virtually all information - forums, chat, images, videos. Videos? Yes four young men, of African origin decided to gang rape a 19 year old outside a Toulouse Discotheque. It is apparently pretty common and if a complaint is made (the victim was possibly drugged with Rohypnol, or drunk?) it gets the usual Gallic shrug from "Le Plod". According to local papers there is an epidemic of rape, and gang rape in Toulouse of both adults and under aged girls. Crimes are frequently committed at the end of the week. Of course the press and police are very cagey about the identity of the aggressors - well unless it is Mr Dupont, the catholic priest or Mr Gonthier the local car mechanic - then you get the full details of their lives. A case in point is a gang rape that occurred in October 2017, we learn that one of the aggressors was a security guard for the Carcassonne town hall ([probably another town to put on your "no visit" list) and it is only from round about sources we discover he is a M. Zouhair with 9 convictions against him for sexual assault. Wow, and the town hall took him on as a guard?
So what of this latest incident? This time some spectators thought it was a good idea to film it and post the video online. So Le Plod has had to take action - to take down the video and images of the rapists.

This is a shocking story on Zerohedge. It is detailed so best to go have a look at the below link and read the article. Be warned, there are some images of people lying on the ground and the ground covered in blood.
However, thankfully, there are no photos of the most horrific part of this story - that a baby was beheaded during the attack.
      Yes, you read that right.
Apparently people who videod the after-math had the heavy hand of the German State, courtesy of the German Police, come down heavy on them for uploading the video online.
Thankfully, a German newspaper decided to run with the story. There is at least one Western newspaper editor who can see the dangers coming towards us all.
Germany: 'Decapitating' Freedom Of The Press?
Zerohedge is reposting the story, with photos, here:

      It originally was published here - without any graphic images;

It seems some prominet remainer MP's are trying to smear Leave.EU as a covert far right group masquerading as a pro brexit facebook group.
I have been follwing this group on facebook and it has millions of followers and is always the go to place to reafirm that i am not alone in my political views re brexit.
I can see another attempt to outlaw a group that does not follow the official narrative.
      Here is the story
      https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/uk/cross-party-anger-at-probrexit-groups-offensive-tweet-36757686.html
The All Party Parliamentary Group for British Muslims has called on Leave.EU to withdraw the “inflammatory” post and apologise.
Tory MP and co-chairman of the APPG for British Muslims, Anna Soubry, said: “This tweet is thoroughly distasteful and offensive. It is also nothing to do with leaving the EU.
“It is however proof that Leave.EU is a front organisation for a far-right group that is more interested in spreading hatred and creating division than upholding British values of respect and tolerance.”
