The problem is that there is no actual news in the newspaper. What is there tends to be factually inaccurate.

Tfh mode, I’m wondering if this isn’t anther deep State attempt to undermine local communities.

Ours went from a daily to a weekly under JP, but the older generation seem to still buy it more as a habit they dont want to let go of. I had a look through one for the first time in years last week and as the famous rap song goes "It's got 99 pages but the news ain't one"

I've never fully understood the difference/relationship between the YEP and the Yorkshire Post.

YEP was the evening Leeds paper.

YP was the Yorkshire daily.

The papers might be shit - but thats down to the fuckups that are newspapers owners.

Local papers is one area of the media where making money still outh to be shooting fish in the barrel.

The fact they a lot of JP tit4ls re stigglign aer down to the fuckups who are JP.

Other newspaper groups show a lot of more profit.

None sized being able to consolodate and rationaise assets - presses, back offices.

Mts papers were run by jounres who, to be frank, are useless at operatign businesses.

I note the JP share price is down  to 2.5p today.

I think its in its last week.

So without I JP is bankrupt -- too much debt for the remaining assets to cover.  I suppose it's easier than getting the receivers to sell I...

The equity has been effectively 0p for the last years.

200m of debt, due next year. 3m of equity. Yeah right.

And a big pension deficit.

Daily mail.

Not sure if its JP wishful thinking.

Why would anyone buy it and take on the liabilities when they can jsut take the market share when it closes.

Daily mail won't be buying anything off JP.
