I tried it as soon as I read his tweet yesterday but I got straight onto Breitbart without any issues.

With the filter switched on or off ? i think it`s the fact that the content filter (AKA virgin media)  deems it to a Hate speech site that`s the worrying part as far as i`m concerned

From past experience as a Virgin Media broadband user you can get round their filtering simply by turning off DHCP and setting up a static IP pointing at the Google or OpenDNS servers. You should do this anyway as the two DNS I have listed are much quicker and more reliable than the VM DNS

Can't find anything I don't like about their service except that it's a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I used to be with them back in my ADSL days. Couldn't fault them. Brilliant user interface to help the more techie minded.

Unfortunately, now I have fibre (and FTTP no less) they just cannot complete on price & service.

A&A: £40 a month with a 200GB limit vs my current deal with BT: £21.99 a month unlimited.

Shame...

£60/month 1 terabyte which I never get anywhere near. The boss is a bloke with a sense of humour, bought himself a "Reverend" title just cause it amuses him.

Read his blog if you get the chance, some techie stuff some off the wall humour and some observations on the world at large.

I used to be with them too, I think, were they based on the South Coast before. Or at least a similar very small ISP if not them. They were expensive but brilliant, you could ring at any time of day and they'd answer after a few rings.

This was back in the days when a 2Mbps ADSL connection was a new thing, mind. Nowadays it's hard to compete on speed.
