Skipton BS owns Connells EA:the benefits of mutuality

BS's only achievments over the last 15 years appears to have been to price it's membership out of home ownership through BTL lending.

I was surprised they owned Connells.(I was merely looking for shorts,will have to be content with Belvoir Lettings and LSL.

Connells Group have faced criticism on a number occasions of hard selling and pressuring clients to use the groups in-house mortgage services using tactics such as not allowing viewings or to place offers on properties before signing up to the in-house service.^{[14][15][16][17][18][19]}

Quite whether this was the intention of the founding fathers of Skipton BS, I don't know.
