MrPin's polishing his big clock

Recommended Posts

Today I have been polishing my clock! I got it back after I gave it away some years ago to a lady of consequence. Unfortunately she passed away and her ex husband doesn't like it, so I have it back. It's French and about 1900 for you Lovejoys out there. It hasn't been wound for some time, and the pendulum suspension has broken. I am waiting for a new one. I do hope it goes.O.o

Ooh La La.

How unusual.

Are you sure the pendulum is sitting properly. It may have raised over locating pins in transit.

A good sign is whether it tick-tocks evenly.

Make sure it's level.
