Terrible news! Leafmould retires from public life.

Recommended Posts

Very sad to hear this. Checking in with Arthur Leafmould every couple of week or so was something I always looked forward to, although of late the posts seemed to have tailed off a bit and I did wonder if everything was ok down in 'Fisting'.

Sadly the archive doesn't seem to be on his site either - so here's hoping he can put together one of them fancy electrical Kindling books full of them to flog to the folk up Hedgefund Lane.

There was so much comedy gold there - my favourite was when the lads on the allotments organised a 'home brew and vintage porn' event in Arthur's shed.

Good health, Arthur, and thanks for all the laughs, of which there were many.

Don't know if he reads here, I think he was Juvenal on TOS. I've posted a comment thanking him for all the laughs on the blog. Deserved more general recognition IMO.

Peak Leafmould for me was pre-blog, posted on the well-named "Unsustainable Future" forum, a post that I think was called the "Winged Dagger", I giggled to myself for about ten minutes and read it several times. That thread was especially brilliant because you could see him developing the idea as he went along.

I always used to enjoy Juvenal's weekly review of the Apprentice. He definitely had a knack for storytelling.

Yes I guessed he was a member on TOS but thought he might have made the transfer to here also.

Props to him for coming up with hilarious storylines week in week out, though I guess eventually he might of run out of ideas and introduced a hitherto unknown young nephew  'Darren Leafmould' or something.
