Danny Boyle fired from James Bond as he's too leftwing

Danny Boyle has been fired from the 25th Bond Movie for "artistic differences" and the release schedule put back at least a year while a rewrite takes place. According to Jonathan Pryce, an actor, who seems to know everyone in Hollywood and  beyond it is because Boyle is too "left wing". You can't direct Bond if you are a "socialist" as you won't be able to understand Bond. Pryce says Boyle is your goto man for lefty type movies no-one wants to watch  but you should never let a socialist try and direct a blockbuster.

I guess this puts the mokkas on Daniel Craig being replaced by a transgendered ethnic.... or does it?

this was months ago, come on, get with the times.

Theyre alright for sunday afternoon fodder at christmas, otherwise they seem quite improbable and even a bit gay.

Few pints of eggnog improve them considerably.

Id watch a transgendered ethnic bond (for about 26 seconds before turning over a cerebral steven segal thriller with shakesperean acting and plot twists beyond my miniscule brain).

I think there must be a lot of trouble brewing behind the scenes in Hollywood. There was an article about how the whole industry was on a the precipice of a crash because making reboots of old films will have to come to an end.

MGM nearly went to the wall after the financial crisis and no one knew if there was ever going to be another bond film.

In the Latest Start wars film, they had to re-shoot 80% the film because the two initial directors (right leaning?) had conflict with the head of Lucus film (left leaning). It became one of the top 6 most expensive films to make in history and bombed at the cinema.

--I guess he had a choice of whether Britain was going to be apocalyptic post Brexit like 28 Days Later or booming. It might be too much to risk the $milllions on a film to have a strong political gamble on the Brexit outcome. Doesn't Hollywood mostly like to have a happy ending regardless of political persuasion?

The thing is you have to have risk to have reward. Making reboots is "safe" and making another film in a franchise is "safe". However as the risk tolerance appetite profile of investors gets smaller and smaller you'll run in to a brick wall where the returns get smaller and smaller. It has already happened in the music industry - going for "safe" family friendly music using tried and tested melodies and tunes with slight variations of previous successes. 

In the movie industry someone will have to take the risk and come up with new stories and new characters.

RR: I'd say it is as bad as all that, for the reasons you describe, which all go back to: the movie industry, in particular, has lost the plot. It's lost sight of the reasons why people go to the movies. It's been so focused on "What movies can you market?"—which is generally shorthand for “What movies will people just show up for without you having convince them that they actually should?”

I saw the Rock's most recent movie, which was pretty much a rip off of Die Hard, and it was one of the most boring things I've ever seen. A mate wants to go see the new Predator movie but I hear that's shite too so I'm not even gonna bother.

And they've fucked up Terminator too, repeatedly. The latest reboot, which had the best chance as it involves Linda Hamilton and James Cameron, is quite obviously an SJW girlpower propaganda piece from the early promotional photos. This is from the same people who actually knew how to present a strong female lead character (Sarah Conor in T2) rather than the insulting 'girlpower' shite that we have these days. I honestly believe if you gave a talented film maker/writer team one tenth of the budget of what the new Terminator movie will have, they could produce a better movie.

Boring. The flims are fucking boring.

Die Hard is fantastic and everyone's seen it 10 times. The Rock jumping between CGI skyscrapers is boring on the first viewing and it's not getting a second one. The stunts get bigger but the movies become somehow more dull.

They need to put something totally new and orignal out. With some girls with really big tits.

Stop letting actors have any say. Shut up and do what your are told - thats how they got the part - in both ways

well arnt they rebooting the preditor franchise again,i think a lot of its to do with cgi or whatever its called its a huge industry in itself now there might be a time when all actors do is the voices everyfilm can then have women with big tits in it,the japs managed it with many of there cartoons and they are aimed at adults cough.

I agree but this isn't what Hollywood is about now. The Rock is the second highest paid actor in Hollywood yet has never been in a good film. It's all about revenues vs costs and The Rock is bankable sadly. British film is much better generally anyway.

I wondered what the real story was.

When he went the first story was that he wanted to kill off Bond and that was refused.

The second story was that the Producer wanted to kill off Bond and he refused to do it.

Neither seemed at all likely.

Paramount is 14 billion in the red. It is not actually the Paramount that we all know. Viacom's basically broke up into two companies a few years ago - CBS and a new Paramount.

Some clever chaps, who no doubt made a lot of money for themselves, came up with the idea of splitting who owns the Star Trek series and films amongst both both companies. The result is the disaster that is politically correct Trek.

J J Abrahams' 'Bad Robot' is partially owned by this new Paramount but has been core to the mess that Trek has become and the mess that Star Wars has become. The company is doing very nicely indeed despite both franchises turning out politically correct crap that has turned audiences away.

J. J. Abraham's apparently has a policy of hiring staff on Earth race demographic percentages. If true I assume that Bad Robot is full of Chinese staff.

There is a youtuber who does very good 30 or 40 minute vids looking at the politics of why these films get made the way they. Why they are disasters.

I will dig some out out.

It's all big explosions and ludicrous action without any attention to the underlying narrative that makes any of it meaningful.

Fuck 'em. Just watch old films on DVD. You can pick up all sorts of great films for peanuts.

I saw an Avengers film a few months ago on the telly. I could not understand what most of the actors were saying, so many mumbled. Plus these huge casts gave no opportunity for character development.

I would watch Robert Downey Jnr for 2 hours as he is talented - although wasted in these films IMPO -/and also some random female with a nice bottom wearing tight black leather or rubber. The rest I do not care about.

There is no plot. No story. Just techno babble and endless special effects that go well beyond suspension of disbelief.

Both Star Trek and Star Wars have been destroyed by SJW political correctness. Disney paid billions to buy Star Wars and managed to kill it off in 2 or 3 movies by feminising the franchise whilst making the hero of it into some bitter old hermit living in a cave. You couldn't make it up just how bad they have record up these highly lucrative franchises.

I am sure the Bond people are looking at all this fearing their franchise will be similarly destroyed in just one film. A black Bond IMPO would kill it stone dead.

I also suspect that they are having trouble raising the money to make a new Bond because so many recent  highly expensive films have crashed at the box office.

The lack of character development is my primary reason for rarely watching films; I go to the cinema but for live broadcast plays or ballets rather than films.

Most films just sketch it out rather than making a real attempt at it; I find French cinema does this so much better but there are only so many subtitles that I want to read.

The big TV series like Breaking Bad or GoT have sixty hours to play with, not ninety minutes, and they are a world away in terms of quality as a result.

I rewatched Casino Royale recently and whilst it is a good film its shortness grated on me at second viewing. Scene scene scene scene scene end.

I agree that a black Bond would kill it.  The franchise nearly died when Timothy Dalton was doing it because he played Bond as a real person rather than the more cartoonish portrayals of the other actors.  I thought he was an excellent actor but that wasn't Bond.  As Plato's theory of forms has it there is an idea of Bond which has to be followed if the film is going to work; take it too far from that idea and it is no longer Bond.

I have become a GOT addict after discovering it during its 6th season. Each of the characters has gone on a personal journey which, long ago, was key to story-telling. Plus GOT is so non-pc and I think people are desperate for non-pc content.

Issue really is with the dickheads who hired a hard left marxist to direct a Bond film. Oh and FFS get rid of Daniel Craig, he's been shit (as have the films) since Casino Royale, you can tell he hates the role.

I just watch old films at home these days, nothing Pedowood has been shitting out in the last 10 years would convince me to go a cinema and i'm agianst the idea of giving them money to push their anti-white cultural marxism

I think on that last bit it seems that millions are in agreement with you. Why pay money so that you can watch a film that rubbishes you as an individual, your family values and way of life in order to enrich the people making it. They then smugly use their riches to rubbish all you hold dear outside of their films. Fuck them.
