It’s not so bootiful at the Norfolk chicken farm

Two men have died in an industrial accident at a poultry firm in Norfolk.

Police were called to Banham Poultry, Station Road, Attleborough at about 01:10 BST following reports two subcontractors had been found dead.

The men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were from a pest control company and were found dead close to the factory.

Police have not given further details, but Greater Anglia said Cambridge-bound trains would not stop at Attleborough because of a "chemical spillage".

The fire service, police and the Health and Safety Executive are all at the scene.

A cordon is in place at the factory and at the nearby railway station, where only the Norwich-bound platform is open.

Greater Anglia said disruption was expected until the end of the day.

Yeah, that too. Let us have our 'guess the origin of the deceased' sweepstakes though.

Pest control have some really nasty chemicals and you have to be licensed up like you wouldn't believe. Safe if handled correctly but can go horribly wrong quite easily.

I think you're right actually, pest control aren't normally internal even at chicken farms where pests are rife.

Found at 1am?

if it was chemicals/poison etc wouldn't they use that during the day? more likely to be shooting rats at night?

or perhaps they were dead for sometime before being found?

I'm going with EEs. What's the prize?

Dangerous/technical chemcals.

Poor saps employed by pest control do not undestand the English instructions.

Open up a can of Rat killer in a closed psace and gas themselves.
