I saw them in 86, the Magic Tour. Not at Wembley, at Knebworth, so although I didn't know it, one of their very last big live shows. Awesome performance, brilliant show.

The sight/sound of most of the big singing stars of the day trying and failing miserably to sing their stuff at the tribute show in '92 put Freddie's vocals in perspective.

Unfortunately I can't listen to them in the car without thinking about the joke in the book "Good Omens".

(all tapes/Cds left in a car for two weeks metamorphose into Queen's Greatest Hits)

Knebworth 86 was their last live show ever - assuming there wasn't more than one night played at Knebworth you saw their last ever gig - lucky you!

Can't think of a more charismatic front man than Freddy. Who else could rock this crowd like him? A true legend.

Outstanding!

I watched that performance live on tv back in the day. Thanks for posting I’ve just rewatched it for the ? time. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of watching that performance.

I'd barely heard of Queen until Freddie died. Spent the summer of 1992 listening to a friend's cassette tapes of Greatest Hits 1 & 2, while everyone else was listening to Nirvana.

Have little memory of the other band but thought it was Big Country. It would have been a very long throw even for the strong young cricketer I was then...

Poor Belouis kicked things off, in hindsight not the best choice by the organisers to front up a raving poofter to an audience made up in large part of hairy-arsed bikers (I know how ironic this is, given Freddy's proclivities). He got fucking smashed by the crowd.

Big Country were bloody excellent, as I recall.

Damn hot, that day, too.

I’ve always loved this song. Bagpipes on guitar...shah.....stay alive. The lead singer Stuart Adamson was a crush of mine. Sadly he succumbed to addiction.

I like this footage (28 mins) from 1986 about Queen’s Wembley ending in Knebworth tour. A few annoying moments to skip ads but just really good, in my opinion.

Footage about setting up the tour, live performances and all band members have clips from interviews...oh and a little bit from some other musicians from that era but not much.

If you like Queen, I do…a lot…then you might like this live footage from Tokyo concert 1985. The iconic Freddie, and the band, in the better times, in my opinion.

An hour and a half. Great live footage for escaping the current mass insanity and hysteria.
