'Professor Zingales, expert on Italian banks at Chicago University, said EZ has done to Italy what foreign creditor powers did to Germany in 1930, cutting off capital flows in a ‘sudden stop’, then enforcing austerity. Brussels should not be surprise at political consequences.'

Hyperinflation on the Lira it is then.... oh hang on a minute.

Desirée Mariottini: two irregular Senegalese accused. Rape and murder, the slaughter on the 16 year old

Desirée Mariottini, the horror: two irregular Senegalese accused. Rape and murder, the slaughter on the 16 year old

Quote

Two drug dealers were arrested for the rape and murder of Desirée Mariottini , the 16-year-old from Cisterna di Latina found lifeless in a shack on Via dei Lucani in the central San Lorenzo district of Rome . As reported by the Public Prosecutor's Office, they are two irregular Senegalese , Mamadou Gara (27) and Brian Minteh (43), held accountable by the investigators, in competition with other persons in the process of identification,  group sexual violence , cession of narcotics and  voluntary homicide .

The details of the crime, which occurred on the night of October 19th, are chilling. First they would have drugged Desirée, causing her to  overdose . Once unconscious, they would have abused her by suffocating her with a hand over her mouth, to prevent her from screaming. A group horror that closely resembles that of Pamela Mastropietro , committed by other African drug dealers in Macerata last January.

Italy is another good example of EU disaster. By which I mean that it was always going to be the case that when politicians could better sell defying or leaving it than obeying and remaining in it, then that's what they will do.

Salvini's motto - dalle parole ai fatti (from words to deeds) ends many of his tweets and public pronouncements - "we're getting on with what we told you we'd do, what you elected us to do" and he has been posting about seizing Mafia money and shutting down their operations (cash might be handy for the State here) and cleaning up immigration.

His pledge was to stop the boats and return up to half a million illegal migrants. His popularity ratings have been incredible. What he says doesn't seem objectionable to most: (I paraphrase since I don't have the tweet to hand) "It costs £80k to house/look after a migrant. We have so far seen around 700,000 enter. We have (insert number of) Italians living in poverty. I think we should spend that money there".

Quite how this branch of the EU's struggle will play out remains to be seen.

The problem for Italy is that he or she who controls the currency ultimately controls the country.

What a guy! Helps to knock down a (Gypsy) Mafia home. Can you imagine our Deputy PM doing this (if we had one)?

He is politically rather astute. He wants to be seen as a do-er and directly delivering on his promises.

His Tweets generally consist of, alternated in turn:

  • We have arrested some more migrant criminals and plan to deport them
  • We have closed a drug dealing gang (normally consisting of the above)
  • We have cleaned out (insert building name) of squatters
  • Here's a lovely dessert I made last night
  • The sky is beautiful (picture of Rome at night)
  • Photos of rescued dogs and cats
  • Thanks to our fantastic iPlod force for their efforts

Salvini is a breath of fresh air, not only a plain speaker but also puts his words into actions. However, you are right in that ultimately the EU has too much of a stranglehold on the poorer EU members and money I suspect will win out in the end. Feel that Orban is in a similar position, much of what he wants is being frustrated by having to have one eye on EU sanctions. The only option is for countries like Italy and Hungary to leave the EU although this seems unlikely.

Yes his Tweets are quite something. Obviously enjoys his food and wine, animal lover and very much a person with a strong set of beliefs as to what is right and wrong. What have we done to deserve such a traitorous political class in the UK!

We voted them in and then didn't protest and riot when they fucked us over. A population of sheep will be ruled by wolves.
