How Populist are you?

Apparently I’m the Bolivian President

This is worrying as I get headaches at high altitudes

Evo Morales
Bolivian president
Evo Morales has been president of Bolivia since 2006. He has successfully sought an end to term limits, champions indigenous rights - he is an Aymara - and pursued a policy of partial nationalisation.

I'm in almost the exact same position. xD

I recognise myself in the description they assign to Macron.

I know very little about him, except that in office he appears arrogant, odious and ineffective.

I don't know how to conclude that so I'll just end it there.

this is just telling us where the average guardian reader is rather than the population as a whole?

I think the average Guardian reader is represented by those dark dots near to the nutcase in Spain.

Hey, buono per te!

I wonder what tipped mine so much since I rated patriotism and nationalism very highly. But in these survey things I always come out just slightly right of centre/libertarian.

I love the subtle "I think left wing people are misguided" (or similar) question.

I got right-wing Populist closest to Evo Morales.

Will be funny if the Dodsbods massive manages to change the look of the chart...xD.

Can’t quite believe how similar the scores are.

Ridiculous how populist has somehow become a label of disdain. Politicians are there to represent the will of the majority of the people, so every MP should be effectively a populist.

Glad you have said that because its what I have been thinking for some time.

It's just a cheap dig from the left at conservative policies becoming more popular, aka democracy.

Surely, democracy itself is populist?

Such a load of hogwash isn't it? Lumping 'nationalism' and 'popularism' into some sort of disdainful 'great unwashed stupid vote/believe in this, they're not as intellectual and enlightened as wonderful leftist socialist me etc etc'

Just put the word 'nationalism' into 2 search engines and see the difference - duckduckgo and google. Google results give all this added interpretation (from a lefty point of view), fucking subtle indoctrination ...

Anyway, apparently I'm 'alt-right' etc etc ...

Seems legit.  I'm fairly classical libertarian with a mixture of 'leftish' opinions (environmental legislation, pollution control, healthcare) - which are actually centralist, and what are now apparently 'right wing' views (so-called nationalism etc etc).

Bit worrying

If you look at that image as a map of the north-east of Scotland (Moray coast along the top, Aberdeenshire coast down the right-hand side) you're floating somewhere out in the North Sea!!
