I always experience great sadness when I see one of these discoveries.  Why?  Because it meant someone died with a plan and hope unfulfilled.....:(

I’ve got a load of old pound coins I forgot to spend before they were replaced. I’m planning to bury them in the local park for future detectorists to find. My plan and hope will be fulfilled if they are found!

I wonder how many are already in circulation, and by extension, whether the addition of an extra 2500 of them might have a significant effect on the supply/demand equation?

I thought it was 250? xD
