Minor acts of defiance

Recommended Posts

This morning as part of my Spartacus training, I have committed my first minor act of defiance. I threw several items that I knew would contaminate the load into my blue recycling bin. It felt good to defy authority.

I AM SPARTACUS!

I refuse to recycle because it is damaging to the environment and only occurs because of the landfill tax; itself a product of the EU caving into lobbying by Denmark and Holland because the lack of land in their countries made disposing of rubbish very expensive and was a high cost to their industries making them uncompetitive.  Result: vest the same costs upon all EU countries by taxation.

And no government ever missed an opportunity for a new tax; particulalry when it could be falsely dressed up as saving the environment.

Opting out of the organ donor register for the reasons stated on that thread.

Refusing to pay the TV tax.

Refusing to buy branded goods (unless there is no realistic alternative; e.g. computers are all branded).

I wonder how long it will take the public to notice any change in the quality of service?

You'll have to plan it using a polly pocket / playmobil / Lego city diorama.

You'll need Lego City set 48331 (White supremacist) or Playmobil 89909 (Actual Hitler playset).

Went to the supermarket last weekend and drove the wrong way up a one way part of the car park. Woman coming the opposite direction gave me a bit of a "you twat" look, so I lowered my window, shook my fist out of it, and shouted, "Fuck the system!". She looked suitably impressed. My wife less so.

:D

We've had no Government for years whilst they've been trying to come up with ways of avoiding Brexit and the country has been fine.

I'm in.

Might go to Waitrose and use my Aldi branded reusable bags.

I use a Waitrose bag in Aldi to show Aldi is really the cool one.

I use a Mercadona bag to send subtle status signals to the other shoppers. "Look I'm not just another scruffy cunt I can afford a trip to Spain now and then."

If the items go to recycling and if there is a benefit to the environment, then, in my humble opinion you are taking your ire out on the wrong thing.

I'd find something that affects authority without potentially affecting the planet we share.
