So,

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48087469

Are we going to see he only place where theres 100k+ of Brits on mainland Eruope, Spains, all decamp toTurkey?

Probably.

The Uk in Europe v EUers in UK is going to get more n more out of balance.

That article, as usual, is a horribly confused mess. The family state the reason (the correct reason): Since the Euro holidays in Europe have become horrendous value for money.

Compare what you get on an AI holiday in Salou with what you get in Turkey or the Carribbean.

Watered down beer, shit food, shit wine, barely passable rooms.

Turkey on the other hand, AI is top notch. If you get out of AI (the pendulum seems to be swinging back) then Europe can still be decent value, if you can deal with all of the African tat sellers.

All-inc appeared in 07, when Spains went tits up for the first time since  err ever.

Massive building work left hotels desperate for any cash.

Since then Spanish AI has become worse n worse option.

The issue is that these families are looking for sun and a pool. They are not going to Spain for its culture or what not.

Turkey is roughly the Spain travel time.

And, muzzer loons aside, Turkey is pretty liberal on booze n stuff.

Radio on about fall in social mobility.

Almost like something has happened to destroy the ability of young Brits to get a job and get on.

Can anyone help out the So-Called BBC, they seem to be struggling to find their arse.

There's this gormless artile on EU students i nhe FT:

https://www.ft.com/content/eb388f46-6a97-11e9-80c7-60ee53e6681d

Basically, someon wants to bill EU students he full tution cost, which is fair enoguh.

Cue huge list of Little britain comemnts etc etc etc.

And the odd -'What the fuck, we are subbing EU students?'

The Treasury is concerned that the proposal would cut off a flow of EU talent to Britain and undermine the country’s competitiveness; some 135,000 non-British EU students studied at UK universities in 2017.

How mnay Uk stundets are in European Unis, you know just to get a feel if he numbers balance.

EU students from outside the UK borrowed £444m from the student loan programme last year.

What!!?!?!?! And how many have paid back the loan?

Don't be so nationalistic. Its about the good of the whole of the EU now. We are bringing the rest of the EE countries up to our standard of living!! . (High rents, high property, high utility costs, shit Road transport, shit rail transport, banana Republic, I could go on but you get the point).

A sad thread crosser.

Inquest on he borough market stabbing and deaths.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48185656

Those who were killed were James McMullan, 32, from Hackney in London, French trio Xavier Thomas, 45, Alexandre Pigeard, 26, and Sebastien Belanger, 36, Ms Archibald, 30, Ignacio Echeverria, 39, from Madrid, and Australians Sara Zelenak, 21, and Kirsty Boden, 28.

Plus a tourist and an Ozzy nanny.

The inquest also heard from the parents of Frenchman Xavier Thomas, who said "barbarians" had taken his life.

. . .

The mother of Sebastien Belanger, a chef, said she does not forgive those who "mutilated and killed him".

Good.

Some article about drop in GPs per 100k people (peak of 66 to 60 so 10% drop). Anecdote in article talks of a two partner practice trying unsuccessfully for 5 years to get a third partner (so no drop in GPs there then) and over the same time frame, number of patients at the practice is up 1300 to 7300 (up 22%).

Conclusion: Where are all the GPs going?

Edit to add: article was in the Beeb. Don't have time to link to it.

GP numbers per population in the UK  have been on the rise pretty much since the advent of the NHS.  Then, in about 2010, the numbers stabilise.  There is a very slight downward trend (but much lower gradient than seen with the rise for 1950 to 2000), which accounts for the 'drop in GPs per 100k'.   This is yet another story where the headline is dependent on what the starting point is -- choose 2014 and you'll get a very different answer than choose 2000.

The actual story here is likely that GPs are feeling the pressure despite the rise in GPs/100k because the population is actually much greater than the analysis assumed (based on the Gov numbers for population).

Two explnations-

1) Massive number of female GPs now, who tend to work part-time. Even when their kids are old enough to look after themselves.

2) Cunt Brown double the pay from 50k -> 100k, so the are very rich and have very large pensions, so they are fucking off in large numbers in their 50s.

IF that stupid one eyed cunt wanted to increase GP care he should have left the salary as it is - UK GPs are the highest paid in Europe by a significant degree (and the worse in terms in of health access) and removed GPs from the NHS pension.

Gps are private contractors. Let them pay for their own pension. The ntheyll work til their late 60s.

The NHS is really really shit compared to other Western Europena free-at=point healthcare systems.

Its also one of the most expensive. The most when you factor in pension liabilities.

Sort of.

UK migration is not young healthy single people people.

Its a lot of TB riddled old cunts and young mothers who, due to lack of English, appointments and such like take 4x more time.

Posted this last year. Worth repeating...

Number of patients in England registered with a GP, May 2018 - 59 million.

https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiNjQxMTI5NTEtYzlkNi00MzljLWE0OGItNGVjM2QwNjAzZGQ0IiwidCI6IjUwZjYwNzFmLWJiZmUtNDAxYS04ODAzLTY3Mzc0OGU2MjllMiIsImMiOjh9

Population of England, July 2018, 55 million.

http://www.ukpopulation.org/england-population/

Now if we take the massive assumption that every single person in the UK is registered with a GP, we have at least 4 million 'ghost' patients - dead or left the country.

The average GP receives £136 per annum per average patient.

http://www.pulsetoday.co.uk/news/gp-topics/pay/average-gp-practice-receives-136-per-patient-annually-less-than-a-sky-tv-subscription/20009191.article

That is a whopping £544 million being paid to to GPs on patients that don't xist.

There are 42,000 GPs in England. So they are, on average, being overpaid by  £13,000 each,  per annum.

Of course if we assume that a few million recent arrivals aren't actually registered with a GP, the number would be a lot larger.

There is, though, a third and highly implausible explanation. The population of  England is nearer 65 million.

There's massive fraud. Somewhere.

Id guess ~20% of UK pop are not regisistered with a GP.

Either GPs are scamming 1000s.

OR UKGOV lyign baout ppoulation (mainly migrants).

Or both.

One for Pinny.

A bit late mind.

https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/17624896.biker-29-died-in-crash-on-the-wessex-way-after-being-distracted-by-her-high-heeled-boots/

Ms Kunda, a bank worker who was born in Poland, was in the centre of the carriage when when "suddenly the bike seemed to go out from underneath her," the court heard. The bike fell on the left-hand side and Ms Kunda slid along the road surface towards the crash barrier.

In a written statement read aloud to the court, Ms Gibbons said she noticed Ms Kunda was wearing a black leather jacket, which appeared to be a "fashion item", black boots decorated with diamanté with a "two- to three-inch chunky heel" and a "bright pink" crash helmet.

Made quite an impresson ...

Poor girl.

I think the lesson to learn from this is dont buy your Motorbike clothes from the Liberace biking section in Primark.

Yes because a decent kevlar reinforced jacket will cost no more.

Quite. My dad started as an office clerk, and was trained internally as an accounts assistant, eventually getting chartered at the company's cost.

Nowadays, companies can, and do, scour the planet for someone already trained up. Very little in the way of internal promotion or internal career ladders in my experience. Why spend thousands on investing in staff.

Its ironic in many ways. The young always suffer most from immigration. Housing costs, jobs competition. Even in mating, if you are man, by virtue of economic migration being disproportionately male, it disadvantages natives. And yet the young are most pro immigration.

Older, homeowners benefit most...cheaper carers, more demand for rooms/housing. Yet they dislike immigration the most.

Scotland has the highest number of GPs per head of population in the UK, research commissioned by the So-Called BBC shows. Analysis by the Nuffield Trust think tank shows there are 76 GPs per 100,000 people, compared to a national UK average of 60.16 hours ago

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-48191210

Why are they all in Scotland?
