Electric cars could increase house prices

Round here they're digging up the streets putting in bollards with ecar charging ports.

I can't help but think that there'll be a tech breakthrough* at some point and it'll make all this worthless.

[* eg, if Al-air batteries come on stream it'll change the way ecars 'charge' completely]

[I think Al-air will take over from li-ion.  Not because they're better, but because the intrinsic 'swap-out' nature of the tech means that car manufacturers will be able to go into the 'profits on the consumables' model as seen in printers etc]

Going to be a lot of money made if you can guess which firms will benefit from

this I notice chargemaster are used be Renault

I just don't think it will end up with everyone charging their battery in the driveway, there are too many flats or houses with no drive.

Might be split into a few power packs light enough to take out and charge in the house, so each car has a few smaller batteries not one big one

Just find out which CEO went to school with (insert current Tory leader here). Worked for systemone which according to a few GPs I know is 'utter shite'.

Which would be a right ball ache add to that threats of automatic fines for kerbing cars being talked about to make pavements more disabled friendly ie the blind
