Stinking summer colds

Recommended Posts

Slight cough Friday.

Saturday early hours..hardly swallow..clearly at deaths door...some sore throat spray helped.

Saturday headache and aches.

Sunday spent in bed composing my last will and testament. Fortunately a Maccy D  s run by wife saved me.

Unfortunately I had to pay and for the kids.

I realised some demon had planted a snot factory in my nose by Monday

Co codamol..codeine content...spent the cough for a few hours.

The Ibuprofen killed the myalgia...but gave riss to monster sweats mid day.

Man flu.

Beware. No sympathy.

Summer colds...scum of the earth.

This is the cause. Get rid.

More seriously, when my kids were at playgroup then school, I had a constant cold. Since they have grown up, I can’t remember the last one I had (tempting fate). I guess as well as not mixing with germ factories, I have developed a level of immunity.

I have hay fever...well tree fever...its earler in season. Not that i dont add an antistamine to cocktail.

It was from a colleague I am sure. Think I will live.!

The tree stuff..took me 2 years ro figure...about 18 years ago. Lived in a flat by massive trees. Antihistamine solved a month of issues in a day.

I'm not actually especially convinced of any possible health benefits, but ever since my fridge problem four weeks ago, I haven't bought any milk (apart from occasional fermented milk products). It's a really freaky overnight turnaround, because I used to be the sort of person who would be searching the streets after midnight for a shop that sold fresh milk if I ran out. I haven't  missed it at all. In fact, I did experimentally try it again, and I don't think it really makes tea and coffee "taste" that much better. It does seem to make a bit smoother, I guess. In fact, I've realised that tea and coffee actually taste quite unpleasant. The main benefit is not having to go to the shops every other day.
