Credit deflation and the reflation cycle to come (part 2)

Well so far my plan of keeping my allocation of PMs and miners while averaging in each month on the oillies and reflation stocks is working out pretty good so far. FRES back just above 1300p.

Somethings in the air. US stock blow off before the elections? My tea leaves have told me so far that Trump win come November then it happens.

Oilies and telcos sliding nicely again, looks like I'll own some more of BP, TEF and REP by COB.

I'd love a piece of Total too, but seems to be clinging harder to June highs compared to other oilies. Long way to fall before I'll nibble on that one.

Tempted to wade into some XOM at sub-$40, especially with the dollar as it currently is.

Guys apologies for off topic.

I'm going to pick up some RDSB shares this afternoon if they keep dropping.

Can I ask.

In the HL portal. You click deal, enter the number of shares. Tap traffic light pounds sterling.

Click confirm. Not gone that far yet.

Does the deal give you a spot price. Confirm at say £10.50.

Or are you in the hands of the trader doing the deal. So as quickly as he acts then you get the price he trades at. Up or down depending on the price fluctuations.

Thanks.

Do you mean Hargreaves Lansdown? Only I don't recognise the procedure you describe (Choosing currency, traffic lights)

With Hargreaves you get 10 second to agree to an 'all in' quote (inc Commission, stamp, FX) and it's all automatic.

You’ll get quoted a price and have 15 seconds to either confirm or reject.

Picked up some more RDSB this morning as they have taken another dive but keep having to tell myself this is all about the next 5 - 10 years not the next 6 months of ups and downs O.o

Cheers mate, it's nice to know the downs might only last another 6 months.

I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more unless RDSB <10 and BP <2.50 I'm trying to hold firm because I'd already weakened too early before. Biggest RDSB purchase was at 12.50 which is a tad annoying now.

He's only gone and gone 'all in' xD

Brace yourself now because you will get a huge dose of buyer's remorse. Try distance yourself from your HL account!

Nope. It's SERPS cash.

Never had it. No brainer. Just sit on them till I hit 60.

Who knows they might go up.

I just saw that. 39.99 with the dollar low against the AUD.  I am tempted.  Someone tell me why not.

All this Shell chat made me realise I've been buying RDSA instead of RDSB all this time!

Better late than never, will have to move things around a bit before next ex div date

Greed is a deafly sin.

I'm happy to be in with the in crowd

If I hadn't found this thread. The SERPS cash would be sat in a non performing low risk fund with the Pru.

I'm happy at 10.40.

To be honest I set me deal price at 10.50 on Friday close.

So in essence made myself ten pence per share...
