Is this dickhead going to blow up?

Boglet

Recommended Posts

Standard sort of YouTube personality... Tattoos and Lambos etc.

But here he gives his story of how he got all his stuff.

Turns out it's all built on top of a recently built BTL portfolio.

OK, so he gets a bit of money from his sizable YouTube channel but if the housing market nosedives, do we think he's in trouble?

One to watch.

I skim-read the first twenty or so. I doubt a single one was genuine. You can sign up to a giant YT circle-jerk, often referred to as a "pod", and you all write the same guff on eachother's videos.

The AUDI R8 is a 2007 model ie 15 years old. They've not made the Maserati GranTurismo for at least 5 years, and it has the older lights, so it's probably about 2008.

So he's bought two 15 year old cars, and stuck private plates on them to make them look newer and more expensive than they are.

I loosely know someone with a net worth well in excess of £30m. They have a fleet of nice collectible and new cars but wouldn't ever brag about it on Youtube. Generally my rule is, if you are 25 or up and:

  • wear your baseball cap back to front
  • overuse emojis
  • brag about your 15 year old cars on YouTube

You are a prize cunt.

I'd think previous 18 months there was.

I've had random people knock on my door asking to buy my Bugatti, desperate to find cars to sell on.

I've watched a few of his videos before his constant gesticulating and permanent smug shit eating grin started to get to me. It was fairly easily to quickly tell he's from money. Even in the video OP linked "I worked at my dads garage"...

Well quite, but you're not boasting about your 15 year old car on YouTube by pretending it's a lot newer and you are very successful blah blah.

90% of the time these videos are just a lead in to buy their new course/affiliate link/buy this other shite.

Sounds like that Schmee guy. At least he's honest though about daddy's a millionaire.

The privately educated tone of voice kind of gave that away to me within a few seconds anyway.

I previously watched his Porsche Cayman rebuild (not yet finished).

Fair play to him for taking on a big project (new rear quarter panel etc) and getting original panels etc. It seems he is hiring in welding and paint so the end result might not be a bad car. He is keeping a detailed cost list updated every video, but he has already admitted he will likely end up close to the cost of an uncrashed standard model which makes the project pretty pointless unless (like him) you upgrade to GT4 bodykit etc as you go.

Hillariously, iirc early on he destroyed a £600(?) ish radiator pack because he hadn't realised there was loose gravel from the original accident wedged before running the engine, and then later admitted he hadn't know how to properly fill and bleed the coolant so it was luck not judgement that he didn't overheat/destroy the engine.

He doesn't seem to know much about what he is doing on the mechanical side.

Yes, I've watched him for a while.

To be fair to him he's basically similar to me but with shit tattoos. He just looked at Copart and thought "I'm not a mechanic but I don't need to be, a car is basically just a big jigsaw set".

He makes good money with the cars, same as me. The genius is that he realised he could make a YouTube channel out of the process and he's become VERY popular. He does adverts and offers etc for Car Vertical (hpi checking app) and for stock trading apps, he's making a fortune.

Watching him fucking up when he buys a lemon, seeing what the process of sorting a CAT S looks like etc is interesting, even to me who does it for part of my living.

In a word, yes.

I almost bought a Ferrari California on Copart a few months ago. My dream car. I chickened out at 25k, sold for 27. Needed about 5k spending, worth about 60k as a Cat N. With fees and delivery probably looking at 25k profit, give or take.

The risk is you may take a while to sell the more expensive motors, so you need to be able to sit on 30-40k invested in a vehicle. Then there's the possibility you miss something: engine or gearbox related etc and then you blow your brains out. 😂

Wow....that's a handy return. It's a similar sort of risk to trading options really, except robably slightly less risk as you can always scrap the car for parts which would give you a baseline from which to work on.

My 11 plate Saab has finally gone.Only worth £300 on webuyanycar,so I gave it to my mechanic who's worked it for 7 years and it's cost me about £15 a week in depreciation because he haggled for it(for which he got a ncie cut of the discount).I know the exhaust alone is wroth circa £100 as they're hard to find, jsut had it's DPF filter blown through. The parts were worth more than the car.

So the break value of these ferrari's could be considerable.

I think putting £25k into a ferrari is a great trade for a pontetnial £25k profit, risks acknowledged. You've only got to get it right twice and you're in for free.

That's the point Ash some of these youtube fellas/lasses are pulling in way more without any of the overheads/chief execs/travel budgets.

It's great to see small punters taking on the big guys
