It really is the sort of corruption you would expect in India!

Hopefully Labour reverse all the contracts and seize assets to the value of payments already made to Infosys when they get in.

They are more likely to let it carry on. Provided a few Labour polos or their family members get a cushty non exec position at Infosys once done with politics.

Indeed.I was looking at our PM holdings with your psot from yesterday in mind ref govts running neg real rates for sometime and jsut thanking f*** for this thread.My job is to feed my kids and look after my ma in the main,help some others if I can but dodging the looming social unrest here is a major aim.

I often walk by businesses with JUnior Panza when we're doing footfall research and wonder how many would be viable with the NMW changes looming.Statista chart below but they're ramping NMW way ahead of inflation at the same time as many small businesses are facing rising costs in terms of food and fuel.This will decimate the bars/restaurants inudstry where the businesses will be ahrd pushed to pass on these cost rises.

In 2004 NMW was £4.85,adjsuted for inflation today that'd be £8.42.Now I know inflation figures are  unrelaible but the point remains.Add on employer NI and businesses have gone from circa £5.50 in 2004 to circa £13 today.ASa s andwich abr it was's possible to find £11 an hour for two satff in 2004,I think many will struggle here.

the otehr flip side is that as you raise NMW,people like ambulance staff who arent far off min weage start thinking screw this,I'll get a job at aldi.coppers too.away from the met,young coppers starting out now are on bugger all for the abuse they take.

the govt are steering more and more people towards life on bennies jsut as the printing machine runs out of ink.

labour will be a disaster compared to zanu tory.and zanu tory were a complete sh1tshow imho.

It will never happen as they will do exactly the same ,it`s  seen as "perks of the job"  that`s why it`s never challenged by the opposition party, to do so would scupper their own possibilities before they even get there

We don`t realise how poor we have become ,NWM was always about supressing wages to keep the country competitive but it was done at a huge cost ,it was always going to break ,and it was never designed to work in the opposite trajectory

25 years ago a job i was doing at the time was 28-30k ish that exact same job now in the exact same plant is now paying  34-36k

When i was doing it i was relatively well off ,but the crux of the matter is the people that are doing that job now see it as a good job ,as  i did back then ,we have been working our way down to the lowest common denominator for 30+ years i think we have hit the bottom  now but it`s now clearly unsustainable ,,the chickens are coming home to roost
