Yeah, I've seen your posts on that. Think I'm going to start attending as dealers are just taking the piss.

I keep looking at buying Silver Britannia's but I can't bring myself to pay the VAT and dealer mark up.

Can  you bring yourself to see the £s you hold become worthless ?

I should be a silver salesman.

Communism.

The headline below, looking for 'radical' solutions.

I'll bet they come up with stuff like this:

- take money from the workers and give it to the non workers (socialism)

- copy sleepy joe and pass laws to make it illegal for anything to be expensive (dumb politics)

- solve it with technology, does anyone have Elons number? (delusion)

- let them eat bugs (yuck)

- print money (crazy talk)

- lower interest rates (more crazy talk)

- steal stuff form the Russians (already done that, people can't eat super yachts)

Now if they did a bit of communism at least the non workers would have to put some work in.

My radical solution:

- import cheap energy from the Russians.

Exactly. It’s not rocket science.

Seems pretty obvious that the lower the NAS, DOW, S&P and BTC fall below -30% ….they will take everything else with them -  as investors sell other assets to cover margin calls….. it becomes a feedback loop …. A vicious cycle….

This could really be the BK…..

Depression on the way ??

Commodity collapse ???

Be careful out there…….

Even in the US the markup is mental.

You will get the premium back on ebay but I would be worried about a buyer switching your genuine coins for fakes.

I am going to play the Gold to Silver ratio which at the moment is 87 to 1.

If I sold a Krugerrand I could buy around 91 oz of Sterling Silver or I could buy 75 Silver Britannia's.

Centamin is about to go ex dividend and its fallen a lot as well. I need to check but I think the div (not yet approved) is around 5 cents (bringing total for the year to 9 cents) and with a share price in the low 80s.

EDIT - CORRECTION

2021 FINAL DIVIDEND

Consistent with the Company’s stated commitment to shareholders, the Board proposes a final dividend of 5 US cents per share (US$58 million). This will bring the total dividend attributed to full year 2021 to 9 US cents per share (US$105 million). The final dividend will be subject to shareholder approval at the 2022 Annual General Meeting on 10 May 2022.

At the AGM the 5c final dividend was approved by 767,228,879 votes to 9,286. It goes ex-divi on 19th May payment 10th June

Last year I bought silver Britannias from coininvest for just under £19 +VAT. Now at the same silver spot price they are £22 + VAT. Extra markup plus sterling weakness I suspect.

The markups in the US are worse as usually there is no sales tax dependant on the State you are in.

An American Silver Eagle on APMEX is $37 and the spot price around $21 that is some markup.

Yep - your recommendations have ticked along nicely since April 2021…. Remember these? I didn’t buy every one of these mind. I wish !!! (Bought a few though).  Just a monitoring list to check your credentials !

You still holding all these @DurhamBorn ?

Bit disappointed about HFEL though…tsk …. tsk….. 🤣 Mind nice dividend.

And the biggest fall of the day goes to... you guessed it.. Silver! (Well apart from ETH and some of the other shitcoins). When the world crashes silver literally burns 🔥

https://www.teletrader.com/no-need-for-fed-to-go-over-50bps-at-next-2-meetings/news/details/57872790?internal=1

San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly stated on Thursday that at the moment there is "no need" for the Fed to consider altering its course regarding 50bps rate hikes at the upcoming two meetings.

Daly also noted that the debate between 50 or 75bps is currently not the central bank's primary concern, adding that the Fed is set on attaining a neutral rate of 2.5% by the end of 2022.
